“I like it very much…it’s very traditional and classical, and it has a great message too, [about] love and respect, and decency towards each other. And in this time, especially in America, we’re finding our way to understanding different cultures… I think they’re tremendously talented and disciplined, and they dance beautifully… There’s deep, rich culture around the world that we need to respect, and admire, and make part of our own experience… If it can’t be seen in China, then it needs to be seen around the world, so that it can penetrate the Chinese people who are being kept from seeing it.”
